The JOE SHOW images were made for an exhibition at my local coffee house, Cup of Joe. With that in mind, I created 15 large (30x22) conceptual portraits of people named Joe. Or Josephine or Jose or Mojo or Giuseppe. I enjoy the challenge of working like this within a theme ... but stretching that theme with as much variety as possible. And, of course, I enjoy faces and figures as subject matter. The works are all pastel on stonehenge paper and exhibited without mats or frames, very clean and direct on the gallery wall.
