"I wanted to portray the human body as sculpture, as if the gymnast had been carved from stone. I decided to put him in an almost biblical, timeless setting. We styled with vintage gym rings and clothing. We accentuated the musculature with white make up, making the skin fell and look like alabaster. Shadowplay retouched, adding grade and atmosphere in post." Philip E James
