The Sepulveda Transit Corridor Partners (STCP), which includes Bechtel Corporation as one of its main 3 equity partners, aims to create a rail transit solution for one of the Nation’s most congested freeway corridors (I-405). When entering a pre-development agreement with the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, it was imperative to represent the three equity partners as one under a unifying mark to represent the project. With the client, we decided that each partner would be represented by a color in the logo. The mountains were important to represent as they are a determining factor of the metro landscape. As many familiar with California will recognize, the mountains are adorned by the state flower, the California poppy, which set’s its rolling hills aglow with their golden blooms.
