ReVerse- Augmented Reality Waste Management

Reverse - An Augmented Reality Waste Management Application for Impacting London’s Recycling Rates - Towards a Digital Innovative Solution.

Waste is a by-product of humans and recycling is an old rooted issue mankind goes through. London’s recycling rates are pretty low and due to various council policies, some materials can’t be recycled which makes people confused while disposing of any item.
To help with this problem statement, I have develop an Augmented Reality waste management application, named Reverse, which will help Londoners, who want to be ecologically conscious, scan any waste item and connect them to the nearest recycling venues. Reverse uses an innovative approach as opposed to the traditional waste segregation methods, by gamifying the process of waste disposal in mixed reality and allowing users to earn rewards.
Initial route to market will be by targeting sustainable brands and promoting them through the app, and in future manufacturers along with councils will benefit from the app’s data to improve logistics within the circular economy.
Aim is to make recycling fun and also keep a track of individual carbon footprint %, eventually impacting the cities recycling rates, by eliminating waste and influencing sustainable manufacturing and consumption, for a cleaner and healthier future to live in.

Currently Reverse is being developed into a more feasible platform which helps manufacturers, producers, brands, recyclers and councils improve their recycling rates and reducing carbon emissions while maintaining a circular economy. The targets given by UNSDG's are supposed to be met by cities and organizations in order to fight climate change. Hence, Reverse is my approach to create a better, cleaner and healthier future to live in.

Let's Reverse Climate Change together!
