“Dictionary of received ideas” of Gustave Flaubert highlights the irony, sarcasm, and intolerance of stupidity. Flaubert analyzes the collective behavior with a critical view on sociopolitical reality, censuring the society's standardized collective thinking. Thus, Flaubert elaborates and develops meanings for the common. From the dictionary reading and interpretation, I tried to illustrate, design, compose, page, and bind. As the dictionary is composed of irony and sarcasm, I used in the illustrations, (photography and calligraphy) these same traits in the meaning of the word presentation. The dictionary's layout diversifies between calligraphy, typography, and illustration, in order to make the composition more dynamic.
