At the start of this project, I started looking at street art and how people can create their own typography from it. Each piece of graffiti is different and has a personal touch! This inspired me to create my own! So, this is the typography I created in the dark room by simply using developer to draw on the letters by hand and exposing the photopaper to light.
From this typography, I made stickers to create my own street art. I then put them in their usual environment and photographed them.
I then used the same technique in the dark room but instead of drawing the letters on, I made the letters from masking tape and just peeled it off the photopaper after it had been exposed and developed. I obviously then made them bigger on photoshop to be able to be put on these t-shirts.
I had the idea of putting them onto asotate and overlaying them. This created an interesting effect after putting them onto the lightbox.
Asostate pieces which have been sewn into and burnt to create more of a 'street art' effect.
Final outcome in my exhibition space in the end of year show. I have used elements of the dark room as that's where my inspiration came from.
