The United States is filled with many things to see and do. Every year, families pack into the car and head out to explore all the nation has to offer. At the top of the list of travel destinations is one of the 63 designated national parks sprinkled around the country. While some are off the beaten path, others are some of the most visited destinations in the world, and for good reason! Here are some of our favorites.
Yellowstone National Park
At the very top of the must-see list is Yellowstone National Park. Strategically placed along the Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana borders, this majestic park transports you to the days when the world was undiscovered and new. An impressive next-door neighbor to Yellowstone is the Grand Teton National Park. The towering peaks of the Teton mountain range frame this beautifully preserved land. Filled with a wide range of wildlife, plenty of hiking trails, and experiences not for the faint of heart, Grand Teton National Park is an adventure you will want to repeat year after year.

Lassen Volcanic National Park
A hidden gem in Northern California, Lassen Volcanic National Park has something for everyone. The scenic drive treats visitors to several dormant volcanos with the crown jewel being Mount Lassen. Pristine lakes, beautiful campgrounds, bubbling mud pots, and plenty of hiking make Lassen a true experience for all ages.

Cuyahoga Valley National Park
While many national parks are found in the East and the West, the central part of the country has not been left out. One of our favorite national parks is located between Akron and Cleveland, Ohio. The Cuyahoga Valley National Park features the Towpath Trail which takes visitors along the historic route of the Ohio and Erie Canal. With plenty of hiking, kayaking, and other outdoor activities, and an abundance of wildlife to enjoy, a trip to Cuyahoga Valley should be near the top of any travelers’ list.
