(Beautiful Death: The Withered)

The embroidery and printing project stems from the fusion of an herbarium with the inspiration by the illustrations of the artist Rosie Harbottle. Six embroidery swatches and designs were developed, along with sixteen prints using various techniques on different textile surfaces.
-Lo Marchitado: The Withered

The dead in a dried beauty is captivated to be preserved in time. It is plucked, collected, and exhibited.
Flowers are collected and kept as a treasure for their beauty.
Flowers that flow in space, water, air, surfaces, transparencies, and encasements, as if they were layered and suspended.
Nature is glimpsed, gradually fading away.
The boundaries between reality and fantasy blur to become a work of nature from the imagination.
The embroidery project uses diverse embroidery techniques and beading embroidery. For the printing project, various inks, sublimation techniques, and textile fixation methods were used, including manual frame printing.
The designs were based on the moodboard and concept of “Muerte Bella” (Beautiful Death).
