Budapest History Museum
Identity Concept
The Budapest History Museum as an umbrella organization itself occupies four member institutions and several smaller exhibition spaces. An important consideration in the visual display of the logos was that each museum retains its own identity but is well recognizable and be easily coded into the institutional system their debt.
Therefore, my concept builds on the gate motif that symbolizes it the state between the two spaces, what is described and what awaits to be discovered. Highlighting the perspective is a kind of exciting optical solution resulting in space for the unique appearance of the logos and is easily accommodated by the observer.
The image is designed to build on existing known gate motifs building to provide a unified new look for museums. It opens the door to discover exhibitions waiting to be explored connecting the past with the present.
