Haute Couture Headgear Design
The Inspiration
The collection of headgears is designed keeping in mind the elements of Love Yourself by the band BTS with the aim to literally represent their beliefs of self love, dreams and hopes, as well as incorporating the abstract lyrics and emotions on the Haute Couture headgear.
The lyrics of the songs represent the aforementioned emotions and this collection is created as a way to capture those elements as a metaphor is the design, so they, in a way, show what reaching for the stars might represent.
An Analysis
The lyrics symbolize their journey to super stardom. The theme also derives its original inspiration from science fiction and fantasy. It has parts which can be viewed as representatives of the elements of the galaxy such as stars, comets and planets.
The Spring Summer ‘21 forecast by WGSN named Game Scape has influenced the collection of headgears and the theme in terms of usage of material, emphasis to the holographic and plastic-like material.
