THE BRAND

Ostral is a skincare company that wants to make cosmetics as natural, convenient and easy to choose as possible. Every skin is different, but they all share some similarities. That’s why we developed products that aren’t treating a concrete skin issue, but that are simply and effectively balancing and caring for it.

Natural, practical, for everybody!

THE PACKAGING

Nowadays, people are constantly on the move. We are travelling more than ever and we need products that we can easily take with us. The roll-on stick is definitely the best option, its shape makes it easy to take with you and it doesn’t take up a lot of space. Also, thanks to the iron ball, the product is easy to distribute and it gives you a little face massage.

The packaging, as the label, is printed on recycled paper, slightly textured and with a « dust » effect. We wanted to create a box that doesn’t need any glue to hold on and that would highlight the roll-on bottle by keeping it visible.

The bottle is made of glass, which allows it to be reused and recycled easily.

THE IDENTITY

The name comes from the place where oysters are cultivated to produce the pearl. It reflects the main specificity of our packaging: the roll-on ball, and also the natural and precious side of the product. The identity had to speak to everybody, no matter your gender, ethnicity, age, etc… That’s why we designed a clean and bold logo that reflects the simplicity and strength of our community.

Geomanist font was used for the logo, and slightly retouched to add a curve to the "R" reminiscent of the movement of the roll-on and giving it a softer appearance. The baseline uses Ubuntu font.

The brand gradient is directly inspired from the mother-of-pearl colors. The mix of soft grey, blue, green, pink and yellow reflects the diversity and symbiosis of the natural ingredients used in the skincare products.
