中壢老街溪中有個「溪溪里」，曾經生病的它重生了，曾對人類失望而流離失所的居民們，也紛紛踏上回家的路。他們善盡自己的天賦和魅力，讓家園有更好的樣貌，他們是誰? 非你所想的平凡物種，非你所知的生態環境，敬邀誠摯想認識我們的你，一同來溪溪里共襄盛舉。

There is a "SHISHI VIL" in the Taoyuan LAOJIEXI. The sick LAOJIEXI has reborn, and the residents who had been disappointed and displaced start to return their home. They made good use of gifts and charms to improve the appearance, let LAOJIEXI has a better look than old, who are they? Not the ordinary creature and ecosystem you think. We sincerely invite you who want to have deeper understanding about us to attend our activity in SHISHI VIL!

關於「字游出版」

在設計的世界裡，文字是很重要的角色，但卻往往成為配角，變成圖為主字為輔的形式。這次，我們希望讓文字成為主角，搏個專屬於自己的版面，我們是「字游出版」，而「溪溪里生態體」正是我們出品的第一套字型。

Ｗord plays an important role In the world of design, but it always become a supporting role, the form of mainly rely on picture supplemented by words. We want to make words be the protagonist, to create freely and fight for their own layout,we are “ Font to river ”.

中壢老街溪 x 字游出版

老街溪源自桃園市龍潭鄉，因流經中壢市的老街，而被取名為「老街溪」，全長36.7公里，流域形狀為長條形，上游較寬廣，到下游則縮成狹窄形，可說是一個完整的生態。100年3月起政府決定啟動老街溪「開蓋計畫」，動工拆除違建加蓋商場，用時120天讓老街溪重見天日，現今並擁有完整的河川教育中心。

透過與老街溪河川教育中心的合作，將這裡的一切化做文字，藉由生態的特色結合筆劃結構設計，傳達一筆一劃字裡行間，與老街溪的情感連結，並證明文字也能成為主體，讓觀者能以不同的角度來認識老街溪的生態，同時也體會到文字之中的美感。

Lao-Jie River originated from Longtan, Taoyuan City. Because of the flow through the old street in Zhong-li, it was also named "Lao-Jie River", which is 36.7 km long. The river basin is strip, the upper reaches are relatively narrow and the lower reaches are rather narrow. It’s a complete ecology. Since March 2011, the Government had decided to implement "Opening Scheme" to remove the illegal construction. It was taken 120 days for Lao-Jie River to see the light again. Now, it has a complete River Education Center.

Moreover, we combine characteristics of Laojiexi Ecological with structure design to prove words also can be a main part, that viewer can have different ways to understand the ecology of Laojixi and realize the beauty of words at the same time

將老街溪生態特色結合筆畫結構設計，字體的風格較中性典雅，仔細看便可發現大肚魚、鳥爪、白鷺等生態特徵藏在其中。

It combines the ecological characteristics of Lao-Jie River with the structure design of strokes. The style of the font is more neutral and elegant. If you take a closer look at it, you can find the ecological features such as big belly fish, bird claws, egret, etc.

雜錦字型

Dingbats Font

溪溪里居民包含候鳥、留鳥、濕地鳥、魚類、兩棲類、植物類、其他類，共31位，配合動植物本身的特性；個性、習性結合居民的姓名，例如：白頭翁、小白鷺...等，去規劃其樣貌，並以Dingbats的方式去呈現，使大眾在認識老街溪的同時，也能夠以有趣的方式去認識文字的世界。

The 31 residents of Shishi Village include migrant birds, resident birds, birds in wetlands, fish, amphibian, plants and others. They are created by the combination of their own characteristic, personality behavior and name. We present it by Dingbat to make people know not only Lao-Jie River also the world of word in interesting way at the same time.

溪溪里週邊設計

「溪溪里生態字型實驗所」將桃園中壢老街溪生態特徵帶入字型設計，包含生態體與雜錦字型，並融入河川教育，延伸出教育票卡等作品，讓大眾能用與以往不一樣的方式去認識老街溪。

"SHISHI-VIL. LAB" combines the ecology of Lao-Jie River with font design, it contains the "ecology font" and the "dingbats font". Also, we connect it to ecological education and extend it, such as ecological handbook. Hoping the people recognize Lao-Jie River in a different way.
