The New Woman : Revisiting the 1920s
This collection focuses on the emergence of the new woman. There was this changing attitude towards the place of women in society during the 1920s. Women no longer wanted to be constrained to the home and family lifestyle and they wanted to be free to choose how they wanted to live their lives. While focusing on the new woman, I also pulled inspiration from the Art Deco and Art Nouveau movement.
