Twenty-Six Characters

Twenty-Six Characters, a Nokia custom typeface book
Twenty-six characters is a celebration of Nokia Pure typeface. It details how the typeface was designed and developed with the user interface in mind, and how it was crafted into a contemporary typeface at the Dalton Maag foundry.

In many ways, this book is a how-to manual for creating a custom typeface. It’s also design inspiration, a specimen sheet, a rough guide to typography. All in all, it’s a visual treat for type lovers, both inspiration and guidance, Twenty-six characters will reach the agencies, designers and creatives worldwide who will influence how the Nokia identity is communicated.

Twenty-six characters features contributions from Bruno Maag and Ron Carpenter of Dalton Maag, as well as the branding, marketing and design specialists at Nokia who helped create the font.
This book was designed by Nokia Design Visual Communications.
