The 7.2 magnitude earthquake in Bohol, Philippines destroyed many of the National Cultural Treasures in the province. These were churches that were built during th Spanish era which dates back hundreds of years ago. These are pieces of the Philippine's history, all crumbled down in just a few seconds. 

 

But there is hope. After we rebuild the lives of those who lost their homes, we should also move the rebuild the structures that have stood for hundreds of years. More than it's historical significance, the churches are the symbols of the strong religous roots of the Boholanons.
