Shale minimalist
We have developed a design project for the living room and kitchen of a large country chalet-style house. The house is designed with a rustic wooden log structure, a double-pitched roof, and high ceilings (up to 7 meters at the ridge), with a tall stone foundation. These authentic architectural elements set the tone for the new interior design.
Living Room: The living room will feature a warm and inviting ambiance, incorporating cozy seating areas and a focal point such as a fireplace or a large picture window that frames the beautiful natural surroundings. The rustic charm of the wooden log walls will be complemented by comfortable furniture upholstered in earthy tones, textured fabrics, and plush rugs. Natural elements such as stone or reclaimed wood accents will add depth and character to the space.
Kitchen: The kitchen will be designed to seamlessly blend functionality and aesthetics. It will feature high-quality cabinetry made from natural wood, providing ample storage space. The countertops can be crafted from durable materials like granite or quartz, offering both beauty and practicality. The kitchen island can serve as a central gathering point, with a combination of seating and preparation areas. The design will prioritize efficient workflow while maintaining a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Integration of Nature: To further enhance the chalet-style ambiance, the interior design will integrate nature-inspired elements. Large windows will be strategically positioned to capture scenic views and flood the space with natural light. The use of natural materials like stone, wood, and leather will create a harmonious connection with the surrounding landscape. Decorative accents such as botanical prints, antler chandeliers, and earthy textures will infuse the space with a touch of rustic elegance.
