Illustrate different nouns, adjectives, and verbs, using only typography set in the Futura font family.
 

Choosing the right word was key, but we were banned from using words, like “stairs”, that were too easy. Each word I chose went through an intensive revision process in which I tried various letter angles and font weights. But sometimes the word just didn’t work, so I would have to find a new word to use! It was a lot of fun to create images out of just typography. Even classmates who chose the same word had a unique approach.
