This project I made as an additional work for the posters of Béla Bartók's The Miraculous Mandarin ballet.

In the story, a Mandarin (wealthy Chinese man) goes to Europe ... 

My experimental typographic project was to draw the Chinese and the European letters together.

I used a famous Hungarian writer Weöres Sándor's Chinese poem translations, to give them Chinese calligraphy look, by altering the serifs of the letters. After the modifications the poems are still readable.
