In the 20th century people’s attitudes and appearance really changed and everybody wants to be the same person wearing the same types of clothes and acting the same. My character are someone who lives in her own little world and doesn’t’ care about that other people’s opinions about herself. In her mind she still lives in the 80’s hippie years. She is a free soul with a missions in life to make the each day the best day. She believe music is medicine for your soul, and every day when she wakes up she starts her day with music, listening to records that she bought at thrift shops for R10. Usually she starts her day with Kim Carnes ‘Bette Davis Eyes’, her 80’s go-to song. She loves being weird and to be ‘the odd one out’ in her friendship group. She will always wear clothes with flowers on or hippie outfits that wouldn’t fit in with the outfits of her friends. This character is a person who is an easy-going person and like to make friends. When she go out with friends she usually like to walk barefoot in the places, because she thinks shoes are too classy and people get mostly judged by their shoes. Her favourite thing to do is to watch sunsets at sunflowers fields with wind blowing in her blond hair. This makes her feel free and also make her heart feel warmer than usually. She has a deep personality and see the world in different ways than others, but she can never describe her feelings and visions in words because she’s not that good in writing poetry and words. Her visions and feelings can only be described in painting faces and painting what she feels. This is her hobby, to paint and draw, but it is also her way of meditation. When she paints she thinks a lot about the people around her and their acts and appearance. People like to laugh at her norms and values because she is very old school and want to have the same type of stories her mother and father has as students. She hates social media and being on her cell phone, and when she paint she paints her cell phone unconsciously without recognising. With painted fingers she likes to drink red-wine while she paints, she believe wine gives her inspiration to paint and makes her feel more relaxed, except when she drink wine with her friends she can get really loud and become a real ’bok-vir-sports’. This brown eyed girl, painted fingers wine lover walking barefoot in sunflower fields, doesn’t really care what people think of her and will always be living in the 80’s as she imagine it. She believe the song ‘Bette Davis Eyes’ describe her personality and her appearance best.
