Welcome to Rockville Event Identity System

Note: This project was done towards the beginning of my school career and is a reflection of where my design skills and interests started.
The goal of this project was to create an identity system for the Welcome to Rockville Festival including a logo, branding elements, and deliverables. The target audience is fans of rock music ranging from classic rock to current rock artists. I used bright colors inspired by 1980’s pop culture to convey the high energy of the event and to highlight the nostalgia that people feel listening to 1980’s rock music. I created sketches (included below) of several logo options, a brand sheet, and a digital vector illustration of the final design using Adobe Illustrator. I then created product mockups using Adobe Photoshop and Dimension based on the brand sheet. Products designed are merchandise including beer glasses, tote bags, and beanies along with advertisements and various other items such as tickets and a photo backdrop for the event. The design created for this event could be applied to anything needed for branding before and during the event. My hope is that this design attracts a wide variety of people within the target audience since this event is enjoyed by multiple generations of rock music fans.
