This is a selection of personal works that have been inspired by woodblock prints in the Ukiyo-e style.
Prints created by Ukiyo-e artists have been an interest of mine in terms of composition and colour combinations. Earlier this year, when I was studying prints from Katsushika Hokusai, I noticed that, in my mind, the composition and the objects can transform into something else. I followed my thought and developed one illustration on top of it. Later on, I did another illustration based on the ideas I got from one print created by Utagawa Hiroshige (see below).
