These photos may look like abstract paintings or drawings, but it isn’t. It’s actually aerial views of the glacier rivers in Iceland, taken from 1000 feet above. I flew more than 3 hours with an open window-plane to capture these mind-blowing landscapes. The ethereal-like patterns are a product of the sediments from the glaciers, the different depths of the river, and the angles at which the sunlight meets them. From this height, they certainly do resemble an water-colour artwork.
