Orbit is a book about playing with form, composition and color. From the idea of the spirograph, I created more complex forms in which freedom in playing is central. As children we all played but don't realize yet how natural it all is. We only see that when some of this freedom and creativity has already disappeared. This book is a visual investigation for me to experience that freedom. With the plastic sheets that accompany the book, visitors could manipulate my forms or make their own. The title comes from the phenomenon 'Rosetta Orbit' in which nature in space makes these spirographic shapes itself.
