Pixel Just Got Better - Google Feature Drop
Edelman’s Colombia Maker Studio was appointed to create a graphic and animated universe for the Pixel June Drop and produce all the assets. With many tasks at hand, soon we knew it was a huge and exciting project where we could put all our skills into practice and also have fun in the process.
Our goal was to add simplicity and the Google touch to all of the compositions, ending up with a colorful yet simple and fun result.
When it comes to color: we had lots of challenges. It seemed easy to mix 4 basic colors, but in the process, we found we could create a complimentary palette what could enhance Google's sophisticated personality giving the overlay of every shape its own place in the composition integrating it to the overall style of every piece.
And to take things even further, we added some 3D into the picture, so we could play with an extra layer, or dimension, and take our own 2D universe to a new space where we could give a clever yet playful twist to all the drops in the Pixel 5.
