New Ritz-Carlton Tower to Introduce Portland to Luxury

A graduate of the University of Oregon and Columbia Business School, Barclay Grayson serves as senior vice president of BPM Real Estate Group, a Portland-based real estate development and acquisition company. With the firm, Barclay Grayson oversees all office, self-storage, multi-family, and hotel acquisitions and development, such as Portland’s first five-star hotel, the Ritz-Carlton.

A planned 35-floor tower in Downtown Portland will serve as the new home for the city’s first five-star hotel. The tower, which will cost $600 million, is a mixed-use building. While the hotel will have 251 rooms, plus a pool on the 19th floor, the tower will also feature retail and office space. There are also 138 condos planned.

Catering to the privacy of residents and guests, the tower will have exclusive entrances for these groups. The standard of living at the hotel will introduce Portland to a new level of luxury that residents of the city are unaccustomed to. Condo owners will get their own dedicated amenities, such as an owner's lounge and fitness facility, while hotel guests will also receive their own services, such as pool access.

Meanwhile, the public will have access to other aspects of the mixed-use tower. This includes the food hall planned for the ground floor of the structure, as well as a restaurant and bar on the 20th floor.
