Turmeric is the most common material that can be found at home is is perfect for dying fabrics. It is quite surprising how turmeric gave such different orangish shades too when added with different mordants.

The second most common material I came across was tea. the shades obtained were not very different from each other.

Here, I've added both turmeric and tea together and reacted them with different mordants. the shades are more towards color yellow.
