SABS is my personal brand as a designer and illustrator, which came to be through the combination of my favorite interests [and undergrad majors]

✖ GRAPHIC DESIGN
✖ ILLUSTRATION
✖ PSYCHOLOGY

The name SABS reflects my name [Sab S.], a nickname [Sabs], as well as the opportunity to show ownership when my logo is attached to my work [Sab's].

I wanted to create something that would reference my love of lines [as a line-art based illustrator] and the psychological illusions these lines can create when manipulated in a certain way.
I decided to use a combination of straight and curved lines to create an illusion of depth and shape on a flat surface. Depending on how you look at it, the distortions can appear to rise up or cave in.

✖ If you stare at it long enough your mind starts to create the illusion of movement.
✖ I kept the use of the distortions simple to avoid breaking brains [OUCH]
Squares were used throughout the design to reference the square logo.
I left an ample amount of white space on the business cards to give the cards a secondary purpose as a memento.

✖ As a designer I can leave memorable notes
✖ As an illustrator I can leave examples of my work
✖ Just for funsies!
