ARTWORK FOR NAADIA'S SINGLE "THE KNIGHT"
We had a pleasure to create the cover for the new single "The Knight" (Рыцарь) by Naadia — independent Russian musician.
Nadia's song is about "one-time knight", she sings:
My disposable knight
My one-time friend
In the evening sky sparkles
But will dissolve by morning

We tried to illustrate it by making the helmet inflatable, so it will burst at the first thrust with a spear.
We wanted to mix a contemporary atmosphere with medieval motives, and the main inspiration for the calligraphy was various medieval illustrated books, such as Tres Riches Heures du Duc de Berry:
