4 years of design college has exposed us to many facts, the amount of creative freedom and opportunities that developing skills can provide us. But it has also given us the opportunities to be aware of the excessive amount of textile waste that is generated, the carbon emissions that are evoked, the inhumane working conditions that emerge in developing countries and very simply the proportion of greenwashing that we see in fast fashion, where they invite you to recycle clothes with them in return for a discount coupon, but subtly only nudging you to buy more.
We all make mistakes, it is a human thing. But when we start understanding them, and finding ways to correct them, is what will make us humane.
This collection aims to do just that, give us opportunities to make amends.
