
For thousands of years, our forefathers used mushrooms as medicine. Mushrooms are depicted in Egyptian hieroglyphics as the plant of immortality, known as the "sons of the gods," who were delivered to Earth on lightning bolts and were exclusively eaten by aristocrats and pharaohs. Before battle, the Vikings are thought to have consumed hallucinogenic mushrooms, which would have resulted in the ferocious fighting state for which they are famous.
