LITTLE GREEN MEN AT DISNEYLAND

Even before The Walt Disney Company bought Pixar, the two companies had a relationship. Disney distributed Pixar films and developed the Toy Story Funhouse show at Disneyland Park in Anaheim. This followed the Disney tradition of developing live shows or parades at the Park based on Disney's latest hit movie, such as The Lion King, The Beauty and the Beast, The Hunchback and others. So when the first Toy Story premiered at the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood on a Friday afternoon, our whole creative department went up from Anaheim to see the afternoon show. Right after the premier my art director/ partner Beth Nierman were assigned to create a newspaper ad with a Toy Story theme for our next Disneyland Resident Salute ads, where Southern Californians paid only $24 for Park admission. Sometimes ads seem to write themselves.
