Zazi Know Your Strength

For decades, women have been silenced, disempowered and had their strength whittled away by society. Zazi*, a small South African women’s movement, wanted to allow woman to find their own strength again.
* Xhosa = know yourself
We created a direct mailer, a hand-painted set of nesting dolls bearing a woman's story, and sent it to the most powerful female voices in South African media.
Each influencer was asked to lend us their voices and spread her powerful message
for every woman: to rediscover her own strength and to use it to claim her rightful place.
The dolls journeyed from one women to the next to reach as many women as possible and grow the reach of the conversation. Within the first week of going live,
the campaign reached over 300 000 men and women within the first week of going live, sparking conversation around gender inequality and female disempowerment,
and allowing Zazi to remind all women to know their strength.
