For the 2012 Badass Mountain Music Festival I drew my inspiration from the fresh mountain air and the sweet smell of pine trees that is a hallmark of the area. It was also the first year that I had the opportunity to design a brochure for them.

 

I wanted to give them a program that would fit their budget, would fit in a back pocket and would be fun to interact with. Utilizing a simple double parallel-fold with the cover cut short, each fold of the brochure reveals a new image, or layer, of the festival, with the heart of it showing the music lineup. This year also marked the launch of the festival’s website, so we used the opening “spread” to call attention solely to it.
