Drop Point Tracking Station 3D Model

D.P.T.S. (Drop Point Tracking Station)
3D model by Simon Pestridge 2009©
This sci-fi model was designed as a mobile tracking station that could be air dropped for field operation use. The model can be used in Game, TV or Film production. The machines function can be whatever the imagination wants it to be e.g.
Portable tracking station
Mobile radar station
Portable shield generator
Thermonuclear device
Alien Device
Probe
Drone etc
With a few modifications, the device could become a satellite, space station or a structure within a scene. The device is made up of 16 objects. Each separate object is one high detail closed edge mesh, with no attached elements or linked objects, so a lot of detailed work. As with all my high detail models, the geometry for each object has been sculpted so that there is no loss of form when subdivision is applied. The device is geometry only, with no textures applied. The total face count for all objects at base level is 534011 faces, so a system with a good amount of memory is required if subdivison is needed for final renders. I created this model in May 2009 in just 4 days using 3ds max. This model is my own design concept.
