Throughout all sectors of transportation we see incredible developments towards sustainable way of commuting. However leisure marine market of today is vastly built around diesel based propulsion systems.

Silent Straits is one of the market leaders in the field of automotive electric propulsion systems. Their mission is to improve the way we look at yachting and prove that a high performance electric yacht is possible.

As a proof of concept, we designed and built a 57 foot long fast cruising electric weekender yacht. Built out of carbon, she is propelled by twin 400kW electric motors with top speed of 31knots.

VISION

WE AIM TO INTRODUCE A NEW NATURE OF MOTOR YACHTING BY CREATING A VERSATILE LIGHTWEIGHT FAST WEEKEND CRUISER WITH CLEAN PROPULSION TECHNOLOGY IN HEART

MODERN IN EVERY WAY, SHE WILL HAVE AN OPEN CHARACTER AND ELEGANT MASCULINE DESIGN, ENABLING HER OWNERS TO EXPERIENCE THE SEA IN A COMFORTABLE AND UNAFFECTED WAY TOGETHER WITH THEIR FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

SIALIA is designed to plane (skim on top of water) from 12 knots. Her hull is balanced and optimized for a smooth ride with minimal trim angles.

All systems on board are connected. One can navigate and monitor SIALIA from any device anywhere on board.

Her deck layout is meant to offer an open flexible space to enjoy the beauty of the ocean.

INTERIOR
OPEN AND LIGHT
JUST LIKE HER EXTERIOR

Inspired by a modern domestic environment, the saloon brings all interior elements together around the center. The space is designed to hide the compromises and create a home-like feeling.

It is based on the composite structure of the yacht yet it is very open and light. Abundant amount of natural lighting and transparent companion way door ensure the spacious and connected feeling inside.

Construction started in 2019. Lightweight design philosophy is maintained throughout the whole process, including state of art engineering by TG Yachts who translated their experience in racing world into a carbon fibre structure of SIALIA 57.

The first SIALIA is planned to be finished in 2021. Electric high voltage systems are already successfully tested which opens the doors for new designs and applications.

Silent Straits has just started to explore the possibilities of upscaling the electric system and aims to develop a whole range of solutions meant to revolutionize leisure and professional marine markets.

As for Sialia, the incredible "open-deck" concept  is an amazing platform for customization and upscaling. Combination of the elegant design with unparallelled power is just about to shake up the industry!
