Cinema booking app case study

Project overview
The product
Cinema box is a local cinema located in Michigan that aims for fast and easy cinema booking including snacks.
They offer family screening cinema and targets wide range of users including assistive technology users.
Project duration
April 2021 to June 2021
The problem:
People wait for their turn whether to book a movie or to order a snack, sometimes after waiting and standing
they find their favourite places are taken.
The goal
Design an app that allows users to book movies and snacks fast and easy in one place.
My role
UX researcher, UX/UI designer.
Responsibilities
Conducting interviews, paper and digital wireframing, low and high-fidelity prototyping, conducting usability studies, accounting for accessibility, and iterating on designs.
This could be achieved by
• Include snack booking through the app

• Create family (Autistic screening) at certain times fixed per week
Paper wireframes
Iterations after usability study
1 out of 5 users was confused how the seats were reserved before the time and date, and this really sounds logic, so I switched the time and date to be at top of the screen before the seats.
2 out of 5 users wanted to edit/ remove the items while they are on the checkout screen.
