Understanding Humanity is part of the “Curated by the Internet” project. It is a documentary that canvasses the topic of Artificial Intelligence with a discourse generated through a series of conversations we had using an autoregressive language model known as GPT-3 on Omegle’s (a live chatting platform) live chat with random strangers on the internet. This documentary tackles four main topics such as: social interaction, ethics, human replacement and trust.
The documentary consists of 4 different videos that are to be played at the same time. The main video is the documentary where all of our thesis is exposed through a combination of visual and narrated resources, there are also two auxiliary videos which are highlights of those conversations on Omegle and were later on animated; the last one is a visual resource that ties the rest of them together.
