Monument , limousine segment evolution.
Alexis Poncelet Master Thesis

That is the reinterpretation of what could be a british limousine, a more relevant transition from classical tri-box segment towards new autonomous shuttles architecture.
The topic is reduced to the minimum, guided by large drafts. Upright, high-standing and deprived from over stylized fancy elements.
This proposal might look different and unexpected, but this is a personal statement.

The concept behind this Monument is to rethink what defines an « expansive automotive product ». This clientele expects from this brand something unconventional, prestige, and of course a luxury market positioning.
As the time goes on, we get rid of cheesy elements, over complex patterns that tend to justify the price of the car to make it look precious.
What really goes through this car is the essence, the honest manufacturing that it would require. Large surfaces, few different parts, and massive greenhouse are challenging enough to place the product as a mechanical jewel. Just a soft and proud British limousine in the main lines.
The rear of the car is designed as a flat cut-out for aero efficiency, and so longer mile range with a single charge. Rear led stripes are, for me, maybe a cool looking trend, but totally useless. Here, the tail light module works as a gauge following break intensity. As a partly autonomous car, the machine needs to communicate with other road users, in a smart and elegant way.
That would bring more sense to active light signature. Same principle with the small blinkers, popping out the tail to help you notice when the car is switched on, as this electric car would be silent.
Monument’s DNA is a dense and ghostly mass that merges « walls » and curvatures. The traditional shoulder topic is transferred into an evolutive side reflection that guides all the mass around rear occupants, like a limo would.
