Nieuw Haamstede, winter 2020

I went out on two cold and misty late november mornings. Not technically winter yet, but the static atmosphere was already anouncing its arrival. During my walk a long talk with my wife on the phone - she's working at home, and we discuss the discomforts of her growing belly as she carried our first kid. A son.

The atmosphere on the beach was desolate, wet, cold and almost depressive, but I could only feel warmth. Like an oversized blanket.

I seemed to be immune for the cold until I started to feel my stiffened fingers after the two hour walk. Only then I realised it was time to hang up the phone, call it a day, and go home.

All images were taken on a Hasselblad 500C on Ilford FP5 or PanF, and were developed using Rodinal (eq.). I used diverse alternative agitation scemes and 1+50 or 1+100 dilutions.
