For this project we had a choice of multiple briefs. I chose to do a brief which was to pitch myself to a potential employer. I'm really interested in both packaging, and the gaming industry so I decided to pitch myself to "Playdead" (creators of the famous indie game "Limbo") as part of their marketing team.
To gain their attention I chose to make "Limbo Ascension" (a fictional version of "Limbo 2") and create a Limited Edition version of the game which included limited edition packaging, the game, and some additional concept art. I also made 3 web banners, and a pop-up advertisement.
"Limbo Ascension" is based around 10 years on from the original game. After rescuing his sister, Limbo Boy (the character you play as) is stuck in Limbo. Now in his late teenage years, Limbo Boy's anger has reached boiling point, and he now seeks to fight his way out of Limbo with his new, rage-filled powers.
