SIYAHAMBA
This artwork was created for DeepStitched Records, a proudly South African record label. I was tasked to create the EP cover artwork for 'Siyahamba' by Weston & Engine. The artwork was used online on streaming sites as well as for promotional content.
The title Siyahamba means "We Are Marching" or "We are Walking" in the Zulu language. I wanted to show the beat and energy of the name in a vibrantly visual way. I chose to layer the many textured elements and typography just like a DJ does for his work, overlapping and interacting with each other.
Projects where I get to design the cover art for music are among my favourites. This is what I love doing.
