Typographic Meme Design

For this particular project my Typography I instructor tasked me to
take quotes or dialogues that have memetic value & express that
with type only. No graphics at all. While doing that, also exploring
Kerning & Leading to see how that affects the feel of quote itself.

First the instructor asked us to do brainstorming of at least 10 quotes
& from those 4 quotes will be chosen based on consistency. Consistency can
be shown through various ways, in this scenario it was the theme of the quotations
or dialogues themselves. So I took dialogues from TV shows & Meme templates
& altered them to fit the theme of Typography.

1) "Oops! I stretched it again."
Based on the infamous Britney Spears song, "Oops! I did it again."
Typography has rules & one of the rules is to never stretch a type or font,
it is seen as a sin.

2) "I don't know what font you are but I'll find you and kern you."
This is a classic one from the movie Taken. Irregular spacing can be jarring
so please Kern.

3) "Too many fonts isn't a good thing, Just ask this poster."
Based on a dialogue spoken by Michael Scott from The Office,
"Too much change is not a good thing. Ask the climate".
Similarly, too many fonts on a poster can be a bit too much.

4) "Too many fonts on this poster we need a, Neue Helvetica."
This too is based on a hilarious dialogue spoken by Dwight Schrute
from The Office, "There's too many people on this earth, We need
a new plague." Helvetica & Helvetica Neue are well-known typefaces
& sometimes choosing from other typefaces can be tricky because of
the way they are designed & how they look in various point sizes.

After these memes were finalized, they were to be mocked up.
There wasn't any restriction regarding what they should be
mocked up on to. I chose to mock them up on T-shirts & hoodies
since this is something I feel a Graphic Design YouTuber might sell
as a merchandise.
