A commissioned pop-style painting of notable social and environmental justice and democracy revolutionists in Africa  (from left of to right):

-Thomas Sankara, a Burkinabé military officer and socialist revolutionary who served as the President of Burkina Faso from 1983 to 1987

-Miriam Makeba, nicknamed Mama Africa, was a South African singer, songwriter, actress, United Nations goodwill ambassador, and civil rights activist. Associated with musical genres including Afropop, jazz, and world music, she was an advocate against apartheid and white-minority government in South Africa.

-Nelson Mandela, was a South African anti-apartheid revolutionary, political leader and philanthropist who served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999.

-Wangari Maathai, was a Kenyan social, environmental, and political activist and the first African woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize.

-Patrice Lumumba, was a Congolese politician and independence leader who served as the first Prime Minister of the independent Democratic Republic of the Congo from June until September 1960. He played a significant role in the transformation of the Congo from a colony of Belgium into an independent republic
