Who are you?
This work is based on a scene that I actually witnessed.
One day, while I was walking, a male Blue Rock Thrush perched on a nearby fence. He was only about two meters away from me. He didn't really care that I was there, he was so majestic.

Then a sparrow came by. The base of its beak was yellowish, so I assumed it was still young. The sparrow gave an alarm cry at Blue Rock Thrush.
He was unfazed, just glanced at the young sparrow and remained motionless.
Eventually, several sparrows arrived, chirping and chattering. The fearless young sparrows flew away with them.
The male Blue Rock Thrush remained perched on the fence for a while.

As far as I can tell, Blue Rock Thrushes are not very fearful of things. The other day, a female Blue Rock Thrush peeked into my room through the window. It's a really interesting bird.
この作品は実際に目撃した光景を元に制作しました。
ある日、散歩をしていると、近くのフェンスにイソヒヨドリの雄が止まりました。
わたしとの距離は2mないくらいでした。
彼はわたしにはあまり構わず、堂々としていました。
そのうち、1羽のスズメがやって来ました。くちばしの根元が黄色っぽかったので、
若鳥だろうと思いました。スズメはイソヒヨドリに向かって、警戒声のような
鳴き声を発しちょっかいを出し始めました。
イソヒヨドリは動じませんでした。ただ若いスズメの方をちらっと見て、動かないままでした。
そうしているうちに、数羽のスズメが鳴き交わしながらやって来ました。
怖い物知らずの若いスズメも一緒に去って行きました。
その後もしばらくイソヒヨドリはその場にとどまっていました。
わたしが観察している限り、イソヒヨドリはあまり物怖じしないようです。
先日も雌のイソヒヨドリが窓越しに部屋を覗き込んできました。
とても興味深い鳥です。
