More experiments in pleating, this time pleated fabrics. This is a small selection of my work over the last few years.
The majority of complex pleating found in fashion is still done using 2 part paper molds. It is a heat setting technique that has existed for hundreds of years but unfortunately there is now only a tiny number of specialist pleaters left in the UK
I pleat all my fabric by hand using this traditional method and making my own molds, some of which can be seen in pleats - paper.
