Online Event and Virtual Art Exhibition
Due to social distancing and quarantine lockdown imposed by pandemic, new way of experiencing art and gallery space was being put into question. Hosted by MATTER AudioVisual Lab, an exhibition was put together on a virtual space which enables visitors to look at the artworks from a different perspective. It invites viewer to step into intangible space of virtuality where the experience of artworks is translated into data streams; the dreamscape conjured by the machines, hence, the name ":\SCREENSAVER_", a virtual landscape of images and patterns as the computer falls asleep.
Role
Working as art director and creative lead, I was in charge of exhibition branding and exhibition design where I was responsible for creating branding collaterals and 3D modelling of the VR exhibition space.
3D model was built in Blender software, which was imported to Spoke by Mozilla for the integration of VR space on Mozilla Hubs. The exhibition is designed to hold multiple viewpoints of our relationship with technology and serve as a vantage point to observe and reflect as the audience moves through the virtual space.
Inspired by early computer graphics, visual elements are kept fluid and vibrant with neon pastel gradients against the "Bliss-ful" blue backdrop of iconic Windows wallpaper.
