Relaunch for a pioneer of organic viticulture. The winery is located in Rheinhessen germany – near my hometown. Axel Schmitt himself and his whole family was strongly involved in the design process which is reflected in the final identity. Poetic themes like the the organic processes during wine maturation, vintage and fermentation as well as the composition of the terroir has been illustratet. To feel the deep bond to their heritage old cards of the landholding and handwritten documents are used on all collaterals. As a practical aspect we developed a symbolic system to quickly difference between inhouse wine qualitys and prices. Within these simple geometric Symbols all aspects of the identity can be found.
