The symbol represents Dona Alda, is a woman who was forced to emigrate to Switzerland with her husband in search of support for their two young daughters. O símbolo representa a Dona Alda, é uma mulher que se viu forçada a emigrar para a Suíça com o seu marido à procura de sustento para as suas duas filhas pequenas. Não conhecia o país nem a língua, mas seguiu com coragem. Pouco tempo depois o casal separa-se, mas ela manteve a força e continuou fora.
A Dona Alda demonstrou muita força e coragem ao ficar sozinha num país que não conhecia. No símbolo, a mulher está de joelhos de forma a mostrar que “a batalha já acabou”, traçou o seu caminho e concluiu as suas batalhas. Só resta desfrutar da vitória.
