GVL2040: Our Home, Our Future

The Communications Team created the GVL2040: Our Home, Our Future brand for the two-year initiative to update the City’s Comprehensive Plan and developed an education and awareness campaign that included print, web, digital, public engagement and social media to help residents understand the process and envision their community in 2040. The team created a total of nine videos (provided on the playlist below), using easy-to-understand language and visuals. Public response was overwhelming - surveys generated more than 279,000 responses from residents who wanted to share their vision for the city's future. 
In the spring of 2021, the City buried a GVL2040 time capsule in a city park to celebrate the plan’s adoption by City Council.
