A single orb sits in the middle of a field of grooves, bathing the space in a soft glow. It rests in the middle of its pedestal, illuminating the planes and deepening the intricate pattern engraved in its wooden base plate.
Fragma stands as a sunset on its own horizon, dusk over a stretch of desert. Dunes diffuse the warm evening light, accentuating the deep waves in the sand created by seasonal storms. As the wind rises, the land shifts. Stars fall from the sky, crashing into the earth like meteorites falling into the ocean. The ground bursts into colourful fragments, mountains blooming raw, unpolished and ever changing as constellations break into our atmosphere. At last, night falls. As the last sun rays dissolve over the endless expanse of sand, dust finally settles. The light goes out and the landscape slips back into place, restoring peace for the time being.
Inspired by stained glass, mountains and light itself, Fragma is a fluid piece exploring hues and feelings. Colourful fragments work together to solve a puzzle whose sole end is balance and harmony. Like a kaleidoscope, it holds beauty in never being quite the same. Fragma moves with the hands of its beholder, rearranging itself to convey moods, tones and atmospheres.
